Bay Area Bike Rides is provided as a free resource. I started the site back in the mid-90s (before the Internet Archive existed) to encourage friends to get out and ride more.
The site is, and will always be, advertising-free. But if you’d like to support cycling in the Bay Area, I encourage you to donate to one of the many local cycling non-profits. I am personally involved with The Original Scraper Bike Team and Rich City Rides, both great organizations.
